Total attendance was six, which was three times that at SNUG's first meeting. The programmer/non-programmer ratio was 2:1, infinitely higher than SNUG's first several meetings. Brad Eacker mentioned the Gnu compiler and debugger panel, which sounds like what an evil-minded developer needs to know about. He also described a UNIX application installer, which would have been much easier than HotSync, if anyone had needed the advertised SPUG app installation service, which no-one did. Gregoire Gentil, of Pilot Plus, demo'd Gnu CC and his To Do Plus and Memo Plus, and mentioned sales figures, which I won't repeat but which were _very_ impressive to a Newton programmer. Geordie Stewart, of Palm Strategy and Planning, confirmed Palm's policy of not putting app developers out of business, and that the current form factor is the largest we'll ever see. Brad Eacker and Vice-President Del Pino showed their respective Pilot cases; Brad's broken screen shows the importance of these. Adjourned at 8:40 pm.
