PalmHack VI Winners

• Dishonorable mention, for (a) being useful, (b) bribing a judge, and (c) being written entirely after the contest closed, plus a LandWare GoType Keyboard, goes to Doug Anderson, for SD Card Keeper.
• Second place prize, a TapWave Zodiac, goes to Les Ridout, for CobaltTime.
• First place prize, a pre-release SyChip Wi-Fi SD Card for Palm OS, goes to Dave Tribble & Karl-König Königsson for Badger Memo.

PalmHack VI

The sixth PalmHack programming contest is hereby announced, to take place at the 2004 PalmSource Developer Conference. Entries need not be HackMaster Hacks, and will be judged on the basis of frivolity, originality, and hackishness. Prizes include a TapWave Zodiac, and hardware and software from LandWare.

As is traditional, there are no actual rules, although hitting judges with chairs is unlikely to be rewarded. There may, however, be major bonus points for entries which:

• Run as native Protein apps under Palm OS Cobalt on the ARM® boards in the Lab.
• Were written entirely during the Developer Conference.
• Entertain the night-time Lab staff.

Entries which are actually useful are not officially prohibited, but suggest a lack of understanding of the spirit of PalmHack, and are subject to deduction of points.

Entries should be demonstrated and beamed to one of the judges in the Lab by 10:30 PM on Wednesday, February 11th:
