This is a service geared toward assisting Systems Administrators at all
levels with those emergencies that cannot wait.
We, as Systems Administrators, have all been in situations where a
friendly ear, or just someone to bounce ideas off of, would have helped
save the day. Here is an opportunity to talk with another systems administrator
that has experience in many different areas:
Operating systems: SunOS, Solaris, NCR SVR4, BSD (I've probably done
near 500 manual operating system installations over the years)
Software used: Bourne Shell, Korn Shell, C Shell, C, perl, icon, expect,
majordomo, HTML, cgi, awk, sed, Framemaker, etc.
(some minor C++ code on request, I've even used MSWord, ugh! :-)
Software porting: majordomo, elm, IRC and clients, INN and C-news
Readers and Servers, X11R5 and assorted X programs, a large assortment of
shareware/freeware.
Systems configuration: X11R4/5, PPP, UUCP, NIS, NFS, DNS, Sendmail V8, etc.
Site configuration and installation.
Consulting and Administration of all types and at all levels:
Software testing, Systems Analysis, Systems Administration, Postmaster,
News Administrator, etc.
