James' San Diego 2005 Travel Blog

I attended the LISA 2005 conference in San Diego. This is the third time I've been to the LISA conference in this particular location.

Sprinkled throughout this blog are links to the notes I took from the LISA sessions. If that's what you're looking for, you should probably just go to my convenient index of all my LISA 2005 notes.

But chances are, you're looking for pictures of all the stupid things I did, ate, and drank. If so, you've come to the right place.

WARNING: this content may not be appropriate in a professional context. Please use your own discretion if you view this blog while at work, or for that matter, if you even view it at all. I will cheerfully ignore and/or mock (at my discretion) all complaints concerning offensive content.

I apologize for any instances of what I call fluid tense. See, the thing is, even though this blog has a continuous timelime, it wasn't written that way. Some passages I was writing as they happened, while others I wrote after the fact. A few I even wrote in advance, with the expectation that I would touch them up after the events had transpired.

So, while I've tried to stay consistent, there are probably places where I've slipped up and wobbled between tenses. Sorry about that.

Note that I haven't applied gamma correction to any of the pictures, so they might look dark on your monitor. If so, turn up the brightness (or adjust the display gamma of your monitor, if you want to get geeky about it).
