Personal information and physical location

Well, hello :-) My name is Norbert Bollow, and I'm a mathematician who has become an IT professional. Much of my work (and in fact, this is my personal preferance) is conducted by choosing FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) as the starting point, and adapting this freely available program code to the specific needs of the project.

I am physically located near Zurich, Switzerland, and I am happy to personally visit customners in this general for face-to-face discussion of projects. However I have also successfully completed quite a few projects with customers e.g. in the U.S. or Canada whom I have never met in person.
