Sean McGrath has a blog! Sean is one of the smartest people in XML development, a real gentleman, and a fun guy. I had the pleasure of an extended meeting with him when I worked for (now-defunct) Viasec in Ireland back in early 2000.

Peter Graves just released Armed Bear J version 0.18.0, a text editor with extensive programming language support implemented in Java. J is the first "properweight" (not too light like Notepad, not too heavy like JEdit) Java-based text editor I've ever used, even though I've only fiddled with it in this and previous versions. 0.18.0 sports impressive Common Lisp support, including HyperSpec integration. There are hints that J might one-day be extensible in a Lisp too, namely, Armed Bear Lisp.
