Our spam filters are Pobox users' first line of defense
against spammers. For more information about the spam
filters, please check out our Help
Section.
In order to keep up with the constantly
changing face of spam, we are always working to improve the
filters. And you can help! If you are a Pobox user with
spam filters activated on your account, we have set up a page where you can report email
that was not caught.
Before you report your message, please make sure you have checked the
following things:
- You have Spam
Filters turned on. Spam Filters are included free
with every Pobox account. Please make sure those filters
are active on your account before reporting untagged spam to
falseneg@pobox.com.
- The message went through your Pobox account. If
the message did not go through your Pobox account, we could
not have caught it. If there are no Received: headers that
include pobox.com, we recommend you contact your ISP about
their spam policies.
- Your message was not caught by Pobox Spam Protection.
Our customer service staff does not personally view messages sent in via
the report. If you have questions or
comments about the spam filters, please send them to pobox@pobox.com.
Messages that are not spam that were caught by Pobox Spam Protection
can be whitelisted via the Discards
site.
Spam that was sent to you without the header "X-Pobox-Antispam:
[CONDITION] returned DENY: for (IP address, domain name or email
address)" should be reported at our page for False
Negatives.
Default Sending Instructions:
In most email clients (with
the exception of UNIX clients), sending the full headers of a message
requires displaying the full headers of the message, copying them
using your system's Copy command (Typically Ctrl-C or Command-C), or
using your system's Select All Command (Ctrl-A or Command-A), then
Copy.
You can then use your system's Paste command (Ctrl-V or Command-V) to
insert the headers or complete message into your new message to Pobox.
